New evacuation notices, Bickleton shelter re-opens for Roosevelt Fire

ROOSEVELT, WA (KPTV) -

The Klickitat County Sheriff's Office has issued a level 3 evacuation notice for about 25 homes in and around Roosevelt, WA. 

The Red Cross has re-opened the shelter at the Bickleton School located at 3600 Bickleton Highway.

The fire started around 1 p.m. on Tuesday and is over 17,000 acres. The fire is wind driven in sage and grass, burning in an area about 3 miles north/northeast of Roosevelt.

Fire crews continue to work on a fire line and will continue to strengthen and patrol the fire line.

No injuries have been reported.
