GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - The third defendant in a daiquiri bar drug bust is expected in federal court this morning. On line court documents indicate Carlos Miller has a change his plea hearing at 10:45 a.m.
Back in January, a federal grand jury indicted Miller on an attempt to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance charge. He was one of three suspects linked to a drug ring reportedly run out of the Ice daiquiri lounge on Pass Road in east Gulfport. The other two defendants have already entered guilty pleas related to that case.
Court papers say agents caught Miller with a detectable amount of cocaine hydrochloride.
A court document filed last week says prosecutors want the defendant to forfeit his car and more than $8,000 in cash.
