Mobile beat the Biloxi Shuckers 4-3 on Walk-off wild pitch

The Biloxi Shuckers couldn't hold off the BayBears Monday night.  Newly acquired Adrian Houser received his first starting assignment in a Shuckers uniform.  In 5.2 innings, Houser gave up 3 runs on 7 hits.

Mobile's Socrates Brito tied the game for the BayBears in the bottom of the sixth inning on a three-run shot to left field off Houser.  Brito went 2 for 4 and hit his 6th home run on the season.

Shuckers shortstop Orlando Arcia had 2 hits in 3 trips to the plate and drove in a run on his 28th double. Biloxi second baseman Nathan Orf went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and belted his fourth triple on the season.

With the game tied at 3, Mobile loaded the bases with two outs.  Garrett Weber was at the plate and Biloxi closer Martin Viramontes was on the mound.  Viramontes threw a wild pitch and Mark Thomas raced home with the walk-off victory in the bottom of the night.

Biloxi drops to 17 and 19 in the second half of the Southern League South Division standings, 60-44 overall.

Mobile improved to 23-13 to lead the South Division and are 57-48 overall.

That's two straight loses to the BayBears.  Game three in the five-game series is set for 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Hank Aaron Stadium.
