BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The Pittsburgh Steelers were counting on Senquez Golson to make an impact during his rookie season, after a brilliant senior season at Ole Miss.
During team drills in the spring, Golson suffered a shoulder injury but didn't display any problems at the time.
However, that injury is more series then first expected and forced the Steelers to trade a conditional fifth-round draft pick to Philadelphia for Eagles cornerback Brandon Boykin over the weekend.
The Steelers are reviewing several options for Golson including season-ending shoulder surgery.
That would be a devastating blow to the young man who was a ball hawk while roaming the Rebels secondary last season. Golson came up with 10 interceptions.
