The Point Cadet Marina in Biloxi was filled with fishermen and families this afternoon for the 21st annual Carl Legett Memorial Fishing Tournament.
The four day event had its last weigh in at 5 p.m. and ended with an awards ceremony.
Fishermen were out on the water all weekend hauling in huge catches of alligator gar, black drum, flounder and many others. This year's tournament saw fish of all sizes.
Assistant weighmaster Shelby Braun says they are hoping for at least one new record.
“Last year we had a record set for catfish, 50 pound catfish. And we're hoping another record will be set this year,” said Braun.
A total of 470 anglers participated this year with a total payout of $26,500.
The tournament went from July 30 to Aug. 2. It’s presented each year by the Home Builders Association.
