On Friday the Milwaukee Brewers made a trade with the Houston Astros, a trade that has impacted the Shuckers.
Chris Harris said, "Carlos Gomez and Mike Byers traded to the Houston Astros for four prospects. Three of those guys are going to be heading our direction. You've got a great young center fielder in Brett Phillips, rated as the No. 2 prospects by the Houston Astros and No. 39 in all of baseball. Hitting .320 in the Texas League. Justin coming up mid season from High-A Lancaster. 21-year-old kid from high school.
Pitchers Adrian House and Josh Hager were also involved in the trade.
During Saturday's Shuckers 2-0 win over the Jackson Generals, Brett Phillips displayed his fielding skills by robbing Jabari Henry of a big hit. He made a spectacular over the shoulder catch right before he ran into the center field wall.
