The game was scoreless until Brandon Macias came through with a two-out two run single in the bottom of the seventh inning to propel the Shuckers on top.
Biloxi pitcher Jorqe Lopez kept the Generals off balance. He gave up six hits, tossed six strikeouts and no runs in eight innings to ring up his tenth win.
Lopez received defensive help from his teammates. Newly acquired center fielder Brett Phillips made a spectacular over the shoulder catch robbing Jackson Jabori Henry of a big hit. Phillips was one of the top prospects of the Houston Astros before Friday's trade with the Milwaukee Brewers sent the 21-year-old to the Brewers organization.
The 2-0 win gives the Shuckers three consecutive victories to win the series, after dropping the first two games of the series at MGM Park.
Biloxi is now 60-42 on the season.
The Shuckers can't sit back and relax. Manager Carlos Subero and his Shuckers open a five-game road series at Mobile beginning 5:05 Sunday evening against the BayBears.
