BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - MGM Park has been ranked as one of the top vegetarian-friendly AA minor league ballparks. It recently landed the number three spot on PETA's newest list of "Top Five Vegetarian-Friendly Minor League Ballparks."
PETA pointed to the availability of meat-free concession items like spicy black bean burgers and vegan hot dogs, as well as vegetable trays and fruit platters available in the suites and specialty stands.
"MGM Park stands out from the pack with its delicious plant-based fare," said Kenneth Montville, PETA's senior campaign strategist. "It's easier than ever to choose healthy animal-free options while cheering on teams across the country - and PETA is calling on others to get in on the rising trend now."
Ahead of the home of the Biloxi Shuckers is New Britain Rock Cat's New Britain Stadium in first place, followed by Tylsa Drillers' ONEOK Field in second.
PETA will send MGM Park a framed certificate for landing on the list.
