George Co. deputies searching for 'armed and dangerous' robbery suspect

GEORGE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

The George County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help to find a fugitive authorities say should be considered armed and dangerous.

Sgt. Jason Pharez said Richard J. Phillips, 23, is wanted for robbing the Store #2 gas station on Highway 26 in the Central community of the county. Phillips is also wanted for several robberies in the Mobile, AL, area, according to Pharez.

Phillips is described as a white male, standing 5’7” and weighing 160 pounds. His last known vehicle was a gold 2000 Chevy Equinox with the Mississippi tag GEN-304.

Pharez said deputies are also searching for Destiny Ann Worth, 26, for questioning in relation to the robberies. Worth is described as a white female, standing 5’4” and weighing 120 pounds.

Authorities believe Phillips and Worth have been hiding out in Wilmer, AL, or the Bexley community in George County. Pharez said Phillips is known to carry a firearm and should be considered armed and dangerous.
