A string of D’Iberville burglaries was solved with the help of citizens and social media, according to Police Chief Wayne Payne.
D’Iberville police Lt. Marty Griffin said Darin Earl Maselli, 20, was arrested after an investigation into several burglaries north of Racetrack Road was launched. Police requested the help of local media outlets and citizens to help solve the case.
Griffin said several tips led police to Maselli. He was arrested Thursday, and Griffin said some of the stolen property, including firearms, was recovered.
Maselli remains behind bars at the Harrison County Jail with a bond of $50,000 for the burglary charge. The Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on him with no bond for violating the terms of his probation.
