D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - Mississippi National Guard recruiting offices will soon reopen. According to a news release sent Thursday, recruiters will return to duty at the force's 10 storefront recruiting offices beginning Monday, July 27. Two of those offices are on the coast: Gulfport and D'Iberville.
The guard closed the offices Tuesday in response to the fatal shootings just one week ago at military centers in Chattanooga.
Officials say protection assessments have been completed to strengthen security at each location and that the Mississippi National Guard continues efforts to arm select military personnel at all guard facilities across the state.
