HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - There was no criminal wrongdoing in the shooting death of 49-year-old Rodney Biggs by a Gulfport Police officer on February 26, 2015. That was the finding released today from the Harrison County Grand Jury.
The report stated, "while the Grand Jury regrets this unfortunate incident it finds no criminal conduct was involved in this matter."
Officers were called to Highway 49 back in February for an accident and when they tried to get the man out of a vehicle and he refused, police said he then reached for a gun. That's when a Gulfport officer shot and killed Biggs who was from Texas.
