BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A Gulfport man is facing charges for allegedly gunning down his cousin in a West Biloxi parking lot Wednesday afternoon. Biloxi police Lt. Chris De Back said Chris Andre Fairley, 26, is charged with 1st degree murder in the death of his cousin, 21-year-old Mark Anthony Fairley.

De Back said officers responded to the parking lot on Eisenhower Drive shortly after 2 p.m. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said Mark was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.

De Back confirmed Mark and Chris were cousins. He said an argument between the two men led to the shooting.

According to police, Chris fled the scene in a vehicle, but he was arrested at the intersection of Courthouse Road and Commerce Street shortly after.

Chris was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where his bond was set at $250,000.

De Back said the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information about this crime, please contact Biloxi police at 228-392-0641 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.
