Ole Miss Keeps Winning

(Fayetteville, Ark.-AP) -- Carl Lafferty had a home run among his four hits to help lead Mississippi to an 11-to-6 victory over Arkansas today. The Rebels improved to 25-and-9 and 10-and-4 in the Southeastern Conference). Ole Miss rocked starter Charlie Isaacson for three home runs. Glen Morris gave Ole Miss a 3-1 lead with a two-run homer in the second. Burney Hutchinson's two-run homer and Carl Lafferty's solo homer in the third gave Ole Miss a 6-1 lead and chased Isaacson. Nick Bradshaw (3-0) earned the win for 3 2/3 innings in relief of starter Mike Gray. The teams conclude the series Sunday at 1:30 p.m. CST. Arkansas won Friday's series opener, 3-2.
