Golden Eagles Get One Back Against Saint Louis

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) _ Clint Stoy had three hits and three RBIs and Shea Douglas pitched a complete game as Southern Mississippi defeated Saint Louis 11-5 on Saturday. Stoy was 3-for-5 with a double and also scored two runs. Brent Quinn and Ben Mosley hit back-to-back homers and each drove in two runs for the Golden Eagles (17-17, 4-7 Conference USA). Mike Orrico was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a homer for Saint Louis (15-16, 5-6). Douglas (4-2) allowed nine hits, five runs and struck out nine. Wes Laillet (4-3) worked 6 2-3 innings and allowed nine hits and eight runs for the Billikens. The teams have split the first two games of the three-game series.
