JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Have you seen Roy Seymour? The Texas man, who has family in Vancleave, went missing over the holiday weekend, and investigators with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department say the circumstances are suspicious.

The 78-year-old's vehicle was noticed parked near a Vancleave Boat Ramp the week prior to July 4th. Officials said campers are known to park their vehicles at that location for extended periods of time whenever camping on Bluff Creek, and especially during holiday weeks/weekends.

Deputies spent until Saturday, July 4th searching the water and wooded areas near where Seymour's vehicle was located.

Anyone with information concerning Mr. Seymour's whereabouts is asked to please contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at (228) 769-3063.
