MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) -

Dr. Shannon Vincent officially began her new role as Superintendent of the Moss Point School District today.
Vincent spent her first day on the job meeting with principals and administrators about her goals and expectations for the district and students. On her to-do list is raising the graduation rate and improving the third grade reading scores.
The nearly 20 year educator was previously the principal of the Pascagoula School District's Opportunity Center, the district's alternative school for middle and high school students.
