BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

We have received new details surrounding the wreck that shut down the Popp's Ferry Bridge for more than 30 minutes Tuesday evening. Biloxi police said one of the drivers involved was impaired.

Investigator Nick Sonnier said the head-on collision sent one woman to the hospital with serious injuries. She is listed in stable condition.

The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 28-year-old William McKinnley Horner, of Gulfport.

Sonnier said Horner was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. He was later taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where he was held on a $1,285 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
