Police have arrested the man wanted for trying to steal a motorcycle from a parking lot.

On Monday, June 22, a neighbor alerted the motorcycle's owner to a suspicious man hanging around the parking lot on the 1200 block of Beach Blvd. The owner said he then walked to the parking lot, and he saw a man pushing the motorcycle away from the complex.

When the motorcycle's owner started yelling and running towards the man, the would-be thief dropped the motorcycle and ran away.

Police later identified the suspect as 24-year-old Jordan Deakles of Columbia, Mississippi. He was out on bond following a felony arrest earlier this year. A judge was contacted, and he issued a warrant for Deakles' arrest with no bond.

On Sunday, Deakles was located and arrested in Gulfport. He was charged with attempted grand larceny and taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
