Alleged Moss Point Pizza Hut robber turns himself in

MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) -

One man who was wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a Moss Point Pizza Hut has turned himself into authorities. Police Chief Art McClung said Sherman Williams, 18, has been charged with armed robbery.

Police believe Williams and two other men robbed the Pizza Hut on Highway 63 earlier this month. Witnesses told police the men ran across the highway towards Dutch Bayou Road after robbing the restaurant.

McClung said the men got away with $3,000, and none of that money has been recovered.

Williams is behind bars at the Jackson County Jail awaiting his initial court appearance.

McClung said police are still looking for the other men involved in the robbery. If you have any information about this crime, please call Moss Point police at 228-475-1711.
