BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A quick response from neighbors stopped a possible kidnapping in Biloxi.

Concerns grew after they heard people arguing inside a home on Rustwood Drive. According to Biloxi Police, a man was spotted pulling a woman from a home, and tried to force her into a truck. Neighbors saw her struggling and quickly ran over to help her break free.

Then, the neighbors pinned Elvin Holley to the ground and held him there until police arrived. Biloxi police arrested the 50-year-old on the scene.

Police said Holley was under a court issued restraining order to keep him from being at that residence, or having any contact with the woman he was attempting to kidnap. Holley was also supposed to be wearing an ankle monitor, due to prior assault and stalking reports.

Holley is being charged with burglary and attempted kidnapping. He also faces additional misdemeanor charges and a violation of the court order. An initial appearance is pending.

This investigation is ongoing, and if you have any information on the case, contact the Biloxi Police Department at (228) 392-0641.
