BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) -

Trial has been postponed for a man accused of murdering a Bay St. Louis businessman. Glen Davis, who was arrested in 2012, was set to go to trial on Monday, but a judge has granted the defense's request to push the date back.

No new trial date has been set.

Davis is accused of murdering 83-year-old Maurice Colly. He is also charged with embezzlement for allegedly using Colly's credit card after his murder.

Davis was also charged with burglary and vehicle theft when he was arrested, but a grand jury did not indict him on those charges. Those charges have since been dismissed.

Colly was found in the trunk of his car on March 9, 2012, at the apartment complex he owned. Bay St. Louis investigators said Davis' DNA was found on a glove in Colly's apartment.

According to the coroner's office, Colly died from suffocation.

Davis has been in jail since he was arrested in August of 2012.
