BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A Gulfport man has been arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Causing Injury in connection with a Sunday night crash. A 39-year-old bike rider had to be life-flighted to a hospital in Mobile where, authorities say, he is still in critical condition.

At the time, witnesses told police they saw a dark colored Oldsmobile or Buick style vehicle hit the man on Pass Road. After news of the accident, and the suspected vehicle went public, more witnesses came forward with new details for investigators.

The car was identified as a blue, 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis. Investigators say Jermaine Andre Lotts, 38, was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Monday night, Biloxi Police located and arrested Lotts. His bond was set at $200,000. He was being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
