Pascagoula-Gautier School District offers free summer feeding to kids

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

As part of the Pascagoula-Gautier School District nutrition department's effort to reduce childhood hunger, the school district is offering free breakfast and lunch to children 18 years and younger.

Meals will be offered at three locations: The Opportunity Center on Tucker Avenue in Pascagoula will serve meals Monday - Friday from June 2-June 26.

Cherokee Elementary on Scovel Avenue in Pascagoula will serve meals Tuesday - Thursday from June 2- July 30.

College Park Elementary on Ladnier Road in Gautier will serve meals Tuesday - Thursday from June 2 - July 30.

Food at those sites will be served at 7:30 am - 8:30 am for breakfast and 11:00 am - 12:30 pm for lunch.

    Full-time Waveland city workers, primarily police officers, who take-home vehicles outside of the city limits could see a change to the city's policy soon. City leaders said the current policy is antiquated and needs to be rewritten into something that would benefit both the officers and the taxpayers.
