There is a very interesting dynamic inside the Bohemian Gallery on Main Street in Old Town Bay St. Louis.

"It's a cooperative of artists from around the Coast. They come together to market their art from this location," said painter Kathleen Johnson.

She is one of 20 artists in the cooperative gallery. Johnson is featured in a new exhibit called “Three Women Onboard.”

Her paintings, along with photographs from Jan McComas and art work from Dani Davis, will be displayed for just three days in a unique approach they call a flash art show.

"It's a show that is up for only two or three days. Then, we take it down and move on to the next location," according to Johnson.

This novel idea is an alternative to the traditional show where pieces are exhibited for weeks.

Davis specializes in abstract art. She loves the thrill of using a splash of color to bring objects to life.

"To see it blossom into something is fantastic. I love working with colors. To see all of the colors come together is fabulous," Davis said.

McComas' photographs are so interesting, you have to look twice to make sure they are photos and not paintings.

"I do a technique called high dynamic range. I shoot multiple exposures and layer them together," said McComas.

Catch the flash art show while you can at Bohemian Gallery in Bay St. Louis.
