Registration open for golf tourney to honor fallen heroes

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Registration for an inaugural golf tournament to honor fallen Hattiesburg Police Officers Liquori Tate and Benjamin Deen has opened.

The "Chip N Fore Heroes" tournament will be held at Canebrake Country Club June 28-29. The tournament will have two rounds, with 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. shotgun starts on the 29th.
An auction with drinks and hors D'oeuvres will also be held the Sunday before the tournament from 5-8 p.m.

The event is organized by Paul and Jessica Maholm and Todd and Terri Monken. All proceeds of the tournament weekend will honor the fallen heroes.
