BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

By the time the weekend is over, Biloxi will owe $250,000 in fines because MGM Park still isn't ready to host a baseball game.

Friday, Mayor FoFo Gillich took a tour of the stadium for the first time since taking office. The mayor instructed his staff and the construction staff to come up with numbers of how much it will cost taxpayers to have the stadium ready for June 6th's game.

Next week, the mayor said, he will look at the cost of opening in June versus the cost of sticking to the original August 4th contract date and he will make a decision.

Officials say if the stadium opens on June 6th and it's not complete, workers would have to move equipment out of the park and back in the park after the game, which will drive up costs.
