Police escort body of Officer Tate to West Point Baptist Church

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hundreds lined the streets from McComb to Hattiesburg to honor fallen officer Liquori Tate. 

The route traveled down Hwy 98 West to Hartfield Road off of Weathersby. The procession passed through  Tylertown at 3:00 p.m., Columbia 3:30 p.m., Oloh 4:00 p.m., and Hattiesburg at 4:30 p.m.

A long procession of law enforcement vehicles led the hearse to West Point Baptist Church in Hattiesburg where his funeral will be held tomorrow. 

Tate, 25, the second fallen officer, will have a visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, at West Point Baptist Church on Hartfield Rd. in Hattiesburg.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at West Point Baptist Church.

Tate will be buried in Starkville.
