HCSC issues a statement

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

This is a statement from the Hattiesburg Civil Service Commission

With deep sadness we offer our condolences to the families of Officer Benjamin Deen and Officer Liquori Tate as well as to the Hattiesburg Police Department.  The loss of Officers Deen and Tate in this senseless tragedy is a loss to the entire Hattiesburg Community.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

The Civil Service Commission stands unified in its support of The Hattiesburg Police Department and are very proud of the fine service the department provides the citizens of Hattiesburg.  We understand this is a very difficult time for the Hattiesburg Police Department and only ask that you let us know if there is anything we can do to be of assistance to the department.
