Candle light vigil held for the two fallen Hattiesburg police officers

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Sunday night a candle light vigil was held to honor fallen Hattiesburg Police Officers Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate. 

Hundreds of people attended the vigil which featured prayer. Members of the community including fire department officials, retired and current law enforcement officials, and general supporters of the Hattiesburg Police Department came out to the Hattiesburg Police sub-station in support of the two officers.

Four suspects have been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

“We need the public to pull together as one, show support for the families, and continue with prayers and support, “ Hattiesburg Police Captain Peggy Sealy said.
