OXFORD, Miss. (AP) _ Doc Brooks homered and Georgia scored six runs in the first inning and went on to beat Mississippi 10-6 Saturday. Brooks was 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs, including an RBI double in the first. Mark Thornhill, Adam Swann and Lee Mitchell each drove n two runs for the Bulldogs (19-8, 7-4 Southeastern Conference). Rebels starter Mike Gray (2-1) allowed five runs on three hits and two walks without recording an out in the first inning as Ole Miss (22-8-1, 8-3) had its seven-game SEC winning streak snapped. Georgia built a 7-2 lead in the first two innings, but the Rebels scored three in the third against Scott Murphy. Jeffrey Carswell (6-0) pitched 6 2-3 innings of relief, allowing three hits and a run. Clint Farrar homered and went 2-for-5 for Ole Miss.
