 Rice Tarts

Northwest Mississippi is proud to be home to the majority of rice producers in Mississippi. In 2014, the rice crop contributed $174 million in value to the state's economy and accounts for thousands of jobs, both on and off the farm. Rice also ranks among the state's top agricultural exports.

Rice is nutritious, economical, blends well with any food pairings and is easy to make. Best of all, rice is cholesterol-free, sodium-free and has no trans or saturated fat. Rice is also gluten-free and is the least allergenic of all grains. Check out our website at www.growingmississippi.org or follow us on Facebook by searching for Farm Families of Mississippi.
