Former Moss Point Mayor Louis Jackson died Monday night in an SUV accident on I-10. It happened around 6pm in Mobile.
Police say Jackson was driving his SUV when he lost control and flipped over. Family members say he may have suffered a medical problem before the accident.
Jackson served 12 years as mayor, and 8 years as an alderman. He was the first black elected to office in Moss Point history.
Louis Jackson was 60 years old.
