Rain delay: Wiggins parade moved to Tuesday

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

The Wiggins and Stone County Chamber Mardi Gras parade that's traditionally held on Lundi Gras is now being moved because of the threat of rain. It will still roll, but now on Tuesday night at 6pm. The parade starts on First Street.

The Mystic Krewe of the Seahorse was also scheduled to roll Monday night in Bay St. Louis. So far, that parade has not been changed, but stay tuned to WLOX News and WLOX.com today. We will let you know if that changes. Currently, the parade is set to roll Monday at 6pm, starting at Blaize Avenue and Bookter Street.

The WLOX 24/7 Weather forecast includes a 70 percent chance of rain during that time, and falling temperatures. It will be in the 30s by tonight. Keep checking your WLOX Weather app for the latest weather information.

Three other parades roll on Fat Tuesday. They'll be in Biloxi, Gulfport, and a second parade Bay St. Louis. So, prepare to bundle up if you're headed out.
