Coast revelers will love this Saturday before Mardi Gras

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

If you like Carnival, this is your day. Revelers will need plenty of sunscreen to shield themselves from the sunrays beaming down on South Mississippi parades.

The fun starts at noon. The Krewe of Diamondhead holds its annual parade. It starts at the Diamondhead Community Center.

An hour later, the Jackson County Carnival Association takes over Pascagoula. That parade begins on Ingalls Avenue at 1:00. WLOX ABC will broadcast the JCCA Parade. Our live coverage begins at 1:30 Saturday afternoon.

At 2:00, the 46th annual Krewe of Gemini rolls through downtown Gulfport. It follows the traditional Gulfport parade route.

Saturday's Carnival celebrations end in downtown Biloxi. The Krewe of Neptune holds Biloxi's first night parade in more than a decade. As many as 50 units will roll in this parade. The grand marshal is former Saints wide receiver Joe Horn. That parade begins at 5:30.

Temperatures for Saturday's parades will be in the 60s.
