D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

Another new access ramp to I-10 is set to open at the D'Iberville exit.

According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, a ramp to I-10 eastbound from Lamey Bridge Road in D'Iberville will open Friday afternoon. The new ramp is located across from Rudy Moran Park, and will be the third new access ramp to I-10 MDOT has opened since November.

Work began in 2013 to improve the I-10 and I-110 interchange. The project includes the construction of new interchanges at D'Iberville Boulevard and Lamey Bridge Road, the realignment of the I-11-/I-10 loops and the installation of auxiliary traffic lanes to reduce traffic congestion and increase safety.

Work is underway to rebuild the centerpiece of the new Diverging Diamond Interchange, the D'Iberville Boulevard Bridge. Work will soon begin on the realignment of the I-10/I-110 interchange loops.

It should all be complete by August 2015.
