The New Orleans Saints 2015 coaching staff is complete

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WLOX) - Two former New Orleans Saints staff members and a former NFL head coach have been added to the Saints coaching roster.

Dennis Allen has been hired as the Saints senior defensive assistant.  He served as head coach of the Oakland Raiders from 2012-14 and previously served five seasons as an assistant coach with New Orleans.

In 2011, Allen was named the defensive coordinator for Denver and the Broncos defense improved 12 spots over the previous year in overall defensive ranking.

John Morton is the Saints new wide receivers coach. He returns to New Orleans after serving on Payton's first season with New Orleans in 2006.  He has spent the last 17 years coaching in the college and pro ranks.  Morton was with the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-14.

Joel Thomas is now in charge of the Saints running backs.  He bring 15-years of coaching experience to New Orleans and spent the last two seasons as the running backs coach at the University of Arkansas.

James Willis has been named Saints defensive assistant/linebackers coach. He played seven years in the NFL before becoming a coach.  The last two seasons Willis served as defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach at the Louisiana-Lafayette.

Kyle DeVan, a veteran of five NFL seasons as an interior offensive lineman, has been named an offensive assistant with the Saints along with Greg Lewis, who played eight years in the NFL.  Lewis joins New Orleans after serving as wide receivers coach at the University of Pittsburgh.

Brendan Nugent rounds out the Saints latest coaching additions.  He comes to New Orleans after spending the last two seasons as an offensive quality control coach for the Chicago Bears.
