GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Gulfport police have arrested four people they believe are behind a Jan. 16 robbery. The arrests followed a search warrant executed on Monroe Avenue. Police say they recovered property that was stolen during a robbery on Markham Drive.

Edward Barnes III, 40, and Quincy Jamal Youngblood, 31, both face charges for two counts of receiving stolen property, three counts of possession of a weapon by a felon and two counts of possession of a stolen weapon.

Paula Latonya Youngblood, 34, and Kevon Jamall Barnes, 18, each face charges for one count of receiving stolen property and two counts of possession of a stolen weapon.

Gulfport Police Chief Leonard Papania says the community should be proud.

"These arrests are a direct result of a tenacious group of detectives who have literally worked around the clock on this crime," said Papania. "I cannot say enough of how proud I am of the men and women in our criminal investigative division."

Papania said it is evident there are other crimes of burglary and larceny that will be resolved based upon the recovered items from that search warrant.
