National Signing Day set for Wednesday

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

National Signing Day has become just as popular as the NFL Draft.  The cream of the crop of high school football seniors can ink their Letters of Intent and will sign with the college of their choice.

Tyler Bouldin and I will be traveling throughout South Mississippi bright and early Wednesday morning to check out signing parties at local high schools.

Gulfport High School will host the student body at 8:00 a.m. where two players are expected to sign major college scholarships.  Quarterback Richaud Floyd should ink a letter of intent with the Missouri Tigers and defensive back/wide receiver J.J. Smith has been a long-time commitment to Ole Miss.

At 8:30 a.m. in the Pascagoula High School library three young men are expected to continue their college football careers with major universities.  Defensive end Keith Joseph, Junior will follow in his dads football foot steps at Mississippi State.  Wide receiver Jaylen Smith is expected to sign with Louisville and defensive lineman Jauan Collins should be heading to Hattiesburg becoming a Southern Miss Golden Eagle.

St. Stanislaus offensive lineman Ryan Gibson will be heading West...that's the West Coast.  Gibson will sign with the Cal Golden Bears. Rockachaws defensive lineman Jordan Bradford is expected to ink a letter of intent with Louisiana Tech.

Vancleave running back Walter Williams is also heading West.  Destination, the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.

WLOX will have up to the minute signings on wlox.com including Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Alabama and Auburn.
