Man hospitalized after shooting on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

A 21-year-old man has been transported to an area hospital after being shot in the leg Monday around 7:18 p.m., according to Gulfport Sgt. Damon McDaniel.

McDaniel, said the victim was able to tell police that he was shot while walking in the area south of Three Rivers Road and O'Neal Road. 

After being shot, the victim walked into the Super C convenient store on Three Rivers Road, McDaniel said.

The victim also said the shooter was in a black vehicle that drove off after the shooting.

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call Gulfport police at 228-868-5959.
