(Starkville-AP) _ Tanner Brock pitched eight one-hit innings and Mississippi State had a season-high 17 hits as the Bulldogs defeated LSU 13-to-nothing today. The Bulldogs shut out the Tigers for the first time since 1988, a span of 51 games. Brock walked two and struck out six against the SEC's top hitting team. Aaron Hill had LSU's only hit with a single in the second. Josh West was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, Matthew Maniscalco was 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and Enrico Jones homered. It was the sixth shutout of the season for Mississippi State, which had lost the first two games of the weekend series to LSU.
