Hancock Fire Chief and Sons Charged With Embezzlement

The fire chief of the West Hancock Volunteer Fire Department faces embezzlement charges.

Kim Jones and his son Korri were arrested Monday. There's still a warrant out for the chief's oldest son "Kip" Jones.

Hancock County Sheriff's officials say the arrests involve unauthorized use of a fire department credit card.

Chief Jones told WLOX News that his sons, who are also members of the fire department, charged just over $300 in gasoline for their personal vehicles.

Chief Jones is charged with accessory to embezzlement. His sons are charged with embezzlement and have been suspended from the fire department.
