PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - Pascagoula Mayor Jim Blevins delivered his State of the City Address on Wednesday afternoon to several dozen citizens and business owners at a Pascagoula Rotary Club meeting.
He talked about the $15 million bond secured to upgrade utilities, water and sewage. That money will also be used to focus on drainage improvements to fix the flooding woes in and around the city that have plagued citizens for years.
Also, Blevins discussed ways the city can advance the quality of life for its citizens. Some of the projects include a Pascagoula River Bridge environmental trail, the promenade master plan and restoring the historic Round Island Lighthouse.
Patrice Clark covered the address, and she will have more on what's going on in Pascagoula tonight on WLOX News and WLOX.com.
