NEW ORLEANS, LA (WLOX) -
Mark Ingram has become the first New Orleans Saints running back since Deuce McAllister in 2003 to be named to the Pro Bowl.
The 5-9, 215 pound Ingram played in 13 games in 2014 and carried 226 times for 964 yards (4.3 avg.) with nine touchdowns. He added 29 receptions for 145 yards and helped the Saints become the NFL's top ranked offense in net yards per game.
Ingram's 74.2 rushing yards per game ranked seventh in the league and his 964 yards were 14th best in NFL rushing.
The 2009 Heisman Trophy winner was a first round draft pick by the Saints (28th overall) in 2011.
