MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - The head of the Moss Point School District will be retiring when this school year ends. Superintendent Dr. Maggie Griffin confirmed to WLOX that she will be retiring in June, after more than 30 years in education.
Dr. Griffin was hired as superintendent back in 2012. She took over for Dr. John Ladner, who was acting as interim superintendent after the board chose not to renew Kim Staley's contract at the end of 2011.
Dr. Griffin said she won't make an official statement about her retirement until after she meets with the school board.
