Jim Cantore to lead Biloxi's Krewe of Neptune parade

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

If you see Jim Cantore in Biloxi around Mardi Gras, don't get worried that a storm is on the way. The Weather Channel meteorologist will be leading the Krewe of Neptune's first night parade as Grand Marshal. Hopefully, that means only beads will rain down on the revelers.

Because 2015 will mark the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, krewe leaders felt Cantore was the perfect choice to serve as their first "Celebrity Grand Marshal."

The Neptune Parade will be held in downtown Biloxi on February 14, 2015 beginning at 5:30pm. It begins at the corner of Main Street & Esters Blvd traveling south to Highway 90. The parade will turn north on Lamuese Street passing Biloxi City Hall before turning left onto Dr. Martin

Luther King Blvd. Upon reaching Howard Avenue, the parade will turn right and then make an immediate right on to Caillavet Street, finally disbanding at the corner of Bayview Avenue & Caillavet Street.
