BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - We're getting closer to a decision by the Biloxi Shuckers about where they'll play home games when the 2015 season opens. The team's GM tells WLOX News he should know something in two weeks. By then, contractors will have a much more accurate timetable about when MGM Park will be ready for baseball.
If the $36 million downtown Biloxi stadium is still under construction, the Shuckers do have the option of playing their early season home games in Huntsville, Alabama. GM Buck Rogers says the team's old ballpark is greened up and ready for baseball, if that becomes necessary.
By the way, Rogers will be a guest on WLOX News This Week. Look for that interview Sunday morning at 8:30 on WLOX ABC.
