BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

The Beau Rivage and Habitat for Humanity want to know if you have what it takes to go over the edge.

The two are joining together for a unique fundraiser that really raises the bar. Seventy-eight participants who raise $1,000 will get the opportunity to rappel down the side of Beau Rivage.

Gulf Coast Habitat's CEO, Chris Monforton, says finding people to participate has been surprisingly easy.

"You know there's a lot of folks that just really like adventure, and are up for all sorts of tasks and challenges," said Monforton. "And, really driving up today, I intentionally parked at the top of the parking garage because I was just like let me just look at it and see how big it is. And, yeah, it's a little ways up there. But I think folks, it's going to be an amazing opportunity. One, to see the coast like you've never seen before, but I also think people are really rallying around doing something for their community and helping Habitat out."

Participants will be able to go over the edge on April 18, and there are less than eighty spots available. To find out how you can participate, visit www.overtheedgehabitat.org or call 228-678-9123.
