Coroner identifies Gulfport man killed in I-10 wreck

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove has identified the man who was killed in a fatal two car accident on Interstate 10 Friday night.

Hargrove said 59-year-old Nicholas Ferrara, Jr., of Gulfport, was killed when his vehicle rear-ended another vehicle in the westbound lanes of the interstate near Highway 49.

Gulfport police say the accident happened shortly after 6 p.m.

Gulfport police Sgt. Damon McDaniel said the driver of the second vehicle was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries.
