NEW ORLEANS, LA (WLOX) - It was a homecoming of sorts for Isaiah Canaan. The Biloxi High School graduate was at Smoothie King Arena in New Orleans. His Houston Rockets were playing the New Orleans Pelicans.
Before the game, Canaan signed autographs for children.
Canaan didn't start Friday night. But, he did play. The former Biloxi Indian scored five points in 12 minutes. For the season, Canaan is averaging 7.5 points per game. And early in the season, his strong play earned him a few starts.
New Orleans clobbered Houston 111-83.
Canaan played for Seber Windham at Biloxi, then moved to Murray State. He was the Rockets' second round draft pick in 2013,
